This 21st Century brass stool is a product of Italian craftmanship, the unique effect is created by the expansion of ice within the seating. The stool is part of the collectible design language Icenine that has been developed by the Edizione Limitata’s art research team in Milan. The idea of water expanding inspired them and the Italian knowledge makes it possible. A brass geometric solid is filled with water and then frozen until the water solidifies: the volume increases and the box expand, taking always unique shapes. Three legs made of Oak wood support a seat in which the hardness of metal contrasts with the softness of the surfaces.
